This is a picture of Billie, a dog that my son absolutely adores. She’s a teacup chihuahua, full-grown. Having a dog is a lot of responsibility (plus we live in an apartment) so dogsitting Billie on occasion is the perfect solution to having a child who really, really, really wants a dog. We borrow her for a few days…then sending her packing…back to Manayunk. This photo was taken in Cape May, NJ.

Mini Hardback Books
October 12, 2008
The Philly Etsy Team is participating in Design Philadelphia this month. On October 18th, we’re holding a special Craftadelphia at Mew Gallery focusing on green design. The next day, we’ll be at the Old Pine Community Center at the Philadelphia Sewing Collective’s Swap-o-rama-rama. We’ll have a table set up and we’ll be giving out handmade bags filled with promo items, which will also focus on green design.
I’ve been making little books from recycled paper. I bound the signatures for (65!) books while riding on the train each day to and from work. Making them into hardbacks took a good amount of time though, and it was very sticky work (because of the glue) so it wasn’t as easy to work on the go. I ended up using soft back books as my promo item instead.
I really love making the hardback books though; I think I’ll be selling them in my etsy shop in the near future. Below are a few books that I worked on with members of Horsey.
